The trek to the cottage on the Wilds side of the border took about an hour and a half. Most of the time was spent with Jin and Oliver whispering over my head and Zephyr whispering with the fae, River, ahead of us.

Zephyr and River were quite content, even more at ease, as we passed into the Wilds territory. Or, I had assumed it was because we had crossed the invisible borderline. Jin and Oliver became more tense and alert at the same moment.

Thankfully, no one seemed to complain or comment when we started to slow in our pace. As much as I wanted, and needed, to get to the final destination - my body was too tired and sore to keep up with their long strides.

I thought it was a blessing that the sun was no longer in the sky, which was probably a stupid decision. If everything around me could be dangerous, or I could run into something deadly, being in the dark was probably not the wisest idea.

But I was too tired to care.

Getting to the cottage to get some rest was the first next step to Rosalyn. Getting answers from the guys was a good plan. Whether before or after the rest didn’t matter. As long as we started toward the Unseelie side and to wherever their capital was afterward.

“Witches are lucky their spell killed members from the other courts, and none of the Wildings,” River spat, his eyes flashing a brighter pink. “We’ll have to deal with them next.”

We watched River stomp into the building. Zephyr chuckled and waved us forward. “Let’s get you to a bed.”

“And then we need to talk,” Oliver stated. He paused in front of Zephyr, nearly half a foot shorter, and gave him an intentional warning look.

Jin shoved at Oliver until he relented and stepped inside, with me closely behind. Zephyr looked down at me with amusement and shook his head with a chuckle.

“If we’re having a pow-wow of information, I’m staying awake for it,” I looked between Jin and Oliver with a pointed look. There were holes in the information I was given.

Zephyr also had things I wanted to question him on. Like, why had they been there looking for the children. That was something important I needed to know. I wasn’t sure what I would do if they were trying to harvest them for themselves.

“Sweetheart, I don’t think-”

“Are there things you don’t want me to know?” I turned on Jin. “Like how you both conveniently forgot to
